Homeland Security Looking For Right Wing Extremists
By Sandy Morris on Apr 13, 2009 in Featured, Veterans-N-Military
A newly unclassified document from the Department of Homeland Security warns about the possibility of violence by unnamed “right-wing extremists” concerned about illegal immigration, current increasing federal power, restrictions on the sale and use of firearms, and the loss of U.S. sovereignty plus to go one step further it singles out returning war veterans as particular threats. Are you one of these?
The report, titled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” dated April 7, states that “threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have
been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts.”
However, the report goes on to suggest worsening economic woes such as trouble finding employment, potential new legislative restrictions on firearms and “the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.”
It looks like the 1st Amendment will be on the chopping block very soon, especially with reports like this coming out of Washington, and the fact that more and more people are critical of the government. The repeal of the 1st Amendment would stop the right to peacefully assemble, control the words allowed to be spoken or written and followed by the repeal of the 2nd Amendment with the removing of all firearms from the general public. To do so the government would have to remove the 4th Amendment of unreasonable searches and seizures.
The commentary in the unclassified document could be used today to describe the growing population of “normal” Americans who are beginning to become uneasy with the inside the beltway group called Politicians. Changing laws to suit their own political needs or the needs of their lobbyists, not caring about the will of the people they represent even when most public polls state the obvious will of the people and worse spending tax payers money on failing financial institutions.
The most recently formed Tea Party co-ordinators all across the country will be standing next to the right wing disgrunted veterans and are probably a greater concern to Homeland Security based upon the number of restrictions placed on peaceful rallies.
Is this the change that was promised just a few months ago? Have we forgotten that our core values and those granted by our founding fathers?
Labeling our returning military as “right wing extremists” is taking profiling to a whole new level. We as Americans have a right to bear arms, peacefully gather, want border control not to mention representatives that vote with the peoples interests not their own.
The turbulence under our earth recently was not volcano activity it was surely the founding fathers raising a ruckus about their laws being threatened.

This targeting of Americans under the profiling of “right-wing extremists” is absolutely repulsive and needs to be retracted. With 48% of the population having voted for John McCain, this demonizes half the US population – which is likely the intent of the authors? This is the equivalent of racial profiling of blacks or the profiling people of middle-eastern origin. This action is something I’d expected from Mao Zedong not the United States of America – and I’m outraged.
Someone needs to be fired over this.

Thank you for commenting on our blog. It is so unfair what Homeland is doing but DC seems to be above our laws. They don’t pay their fair share of taxes, don’t seem to care that Americans are suffering, want to take our guns, stop us for peacefully assembling and a whole lot more.
I updated our blog with a 2nd article written by VA Watchdog. It really made our blood boil.
